Robert Periman
MSW CSWA
He/Him
Robert became a social worker because he has always had a deep drive to help people through tough times. Growing up, he experienced some of the same mental health struggles that many young people navigate. From personal experience, he saw how showing up for someone, offering a listening ear or a helping hand, can really change a person’s experience for the better. This is what pushed him to pursue this path. He wants to be a part of making our world a kinder, more inclusive place where everyone can live their lives with dignity and hope.
Before becoming a social worker, Robert worked for a small HVAC company in Alaska while pursuing his degree. After completing his education, Robert gained significant experience working in various mental health facilities, where he honed his skills in providing therapeutic support and crisis intervention. Additionally, he spent time working with adolescents in a correctional facility, where he focused on rehabilitation and support for young individuals navigating the juvenile justice system. These diverse experiences equipped him with a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those he now serves as a social worker.
Robert has lived in Bend since 2018 because the easy access to the outdoors reminds him of growing up in Alaska and spending time outside. Robert enjoys spending time with his friends, going camping, attending concerts, and visiting the various food truck lots in town!
Robert is honored to work in this profession and deeply grateful for the opportunity to support his clients through their challenges.
