Kelly Flynn
MS, LPCA
She/Her
Kelly genuinely values authentic connection and the positive influence relationships can have on an individual’s pursuit of health and well-being. The challenges, opportunities, and rewards of living a meaning-filled life inspire her to grow in her knowledge and commitment to caring for and supporting her clients in pursuing their goals and overcoming adversity.
Before becoming a Counselor, Kelly initially focused on connecting with others through a shared passion for outdoor recreation and adventure. Kelly's love for nature and helping people led her to mentor adolescents and young adults at a therapeutic boarding school, where she taught life skills, prosocial behaviors and co-led wilderness therapy treks. Additionally, Kelly spent many years as a case manager, providing wrap-around services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This experience strengthened her commitment to self-advocacy and creating inclusive communities.
Driven by a desire to enhance her skills and knowledge in the mental health field, Kelly pursued an MS Counseling degree at OSU Cascades. Her graduate education provided opportunities to work with children, adolescents, educators, and parents as a school counselor. Supporting her school community in navigating complex developmental, social/emotional, and academic challenges was deeply rewarding. As a mental health counselor, Kelly focuses on helping people recognize and celebrate their strengths and gifts while gaining tools, strategies, and insights to overcome challenges and achieve personal goals.
Kelly has lived in Bend since 1997, drawn to maintain her roots in the Pacific Northwest. Over the years, Central Oregon has become her home. Bend, in particular, is where she has grown into a parent, professional, and invested community member.
Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and dear friends. She prioritizes caring for her mind and body, delighting in seasonal recreational activities, sitting by a warm fire with a good book or good company, and adventuring with her kids and their puppy, Remi. Kelly is grateful to work in a profession that empowers and cares for individuals facing complex personal and mental health challenges.
