Gianina Barrionuevo

MSW, CSWA
She/Her

Gianina became a Social Worker because of her belief in the transformative power of healing, human connection, and personal growth. Social work has been a pathway to uplift and empower those struggling with life's challenges, understanding that everyone's journey is unique. In her practice, Gianina creates a warm therapeutic environment rooted in compassion and empathy, recognizing the importance of creating a safe space where clients can explore their stories and express their pain and vulnerability with grace. As an active listener, she facilitates insight and self-discovery, empowering individuals to navigate towards light, balance, peace and to experience JOY.

Before becoming a therapist, Gianina has enjoyed travelling across the globe, exploring the richness of cultures in Mexico, Asia, and South America. Gianina has previously worked with Young Life facilitating restorative circles, working with youth and survivors of domestic abuse and as a caregiver for 10 +years for patients with Alzheimer's and Parkinsons.

Gianina has lived in Bend since 2023 because she was offered a great opportunity to serve the community of Bend by working at Drishti and was captivated by Bend’s outdoor beauty.

She enjoys spending time with loved ones, sharing meals, stories, adventuring and spending time by the river.

Gianina believes there is an inherent light within every human being and feels an immense gratitude in reminding each person of their value, and guiding others towards self-discovery, and inner peace.
