Bailey Apon
MSW, CSWA
He/Him
Bailey became a therapist because he has been endlessly curious about the human condition and the complex emotions and experiences that shape our lives. His journey to becoming a therapist started with a genuine curiosity about people’s stories and an innate desire to assist people in developing the tools they need to navigate their individual challenges. Part of his journey as a therapist stemmed from his own experiences developing a healthier relationship with his own struggles during which time which he found a real passion for gaining a holistic understanding of what underpins our mental health, ways to accept the more difficult aspects of our psyche without judgment, and how to best live a fulfilling life with or without mental health struggles.
Before becoming a therapist, Bailey lived in Portland, Oregon where he worked as a bartender (most notably Loyal Legion, Kex, Hey Love) for six years while completing his undergrad and graduate programs.
Bailey has lived in Bend since 2023 because he attended COCC after graduating high school and absolutely fell in love with all this amazing town has to offer. Bend offers a unique blend of all of the outdoor fun he could ever want while also supporting his love of the less adventurous hobbies! Bailey enjoys spending time being physically active through hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with his dogs and partner at all of the local trails or dog parks. He also loves reading any type of fantasy, playing board games with friends/family, and playing video games! Bailey is genuinely honored and stoked for the opportunity to work in this amazing field and to play a small part in the stories of each person with whom he works.
